TOMY AND THE MERMAID ( Part 7 )
Tomy and the Mermaid — Part 7*
When Commander Tomy returned from the war front, the King of Lapito was overjoyed to see him alive and victorious.
The king immediately fulfilled his promise — he divided his kingdom into two and gave one part to Tomy to rule.
Just like that, Tomy, once banished from Okuwa, his hometown, became rich and highly influential.
As you know, news spreads faster than fire. Tomy's success reached the King of Okuwa — the same king who banished him for no evil, only taking sides with his daughter, Tomy's wife, because a mermaid had followed Tomy home to confirm whether he was married.
The King of Okuwa visited the King of Lapito and begged him to mediate a reunion between his daughter and Tomy.
The meeting was successful. The King of Okuwa was full of shameful remorse and apologized. Tomy forgave him and his daughter, and accepted his wife back into his new castle in Lapito.
But this reunion did not sit well with the mermaid. Being a spirit, she saw everything clearly. She vowed that since Tomy's wife was bold enough to be jealous when she saw her with Tomy, she would never allow them to live together peacefully as husband and wife again.
*Lesson:* When taking a decision, try to be comprehensive.
